Manger went out of her way to make us welcome.
large room with goodviews very friendly and helpful staff very accomandating and catered very well with our dog
we were upgraded to a bigger room at no extra cost which had a fantastic view of Oban bay. The room was very spacious and warm.
Advertises bar meals, but these were not readily available and we had to eat out.
The view was good. We had a ground floor room.. The room was big. Bed was comfortable.
The room was not cleaned. Their was dust on the bed head, dust on the furniture. The carpet was not vacuumed at all. The tiles in the bathroom were not shiny and clean. The coffee cups were not clean. Some of the milk was curdled.
Friendly staff, comfortable room, clean, good shower. Hotel situation good for access to town. Good parking - value for money.
Very nice room, very good breakfast, walking distance of the town.
No evening meal on the night we stayed, but lots of good restaurants in walking distance.
The staff were friendly and of great help in giving information. The room was very spacious and had a nice view on the harbour.
The room was at ground level, so rather noisy and with little privacy. The furniture had not been dusted. The bathroom had no shelf or hook, not even for towels: most inconvenient.
We had a lovely room for our overnight stay - it was spacious and decorated in a modern, tasteful way. Good sized shower room which was very clean and looked like it had been recently tiled. Breakfast was good and only had to wait a short while (10 mins max) for the cooked 'course' (cereal, toast etc was available to help ourselves to whilst it was cooking). Location was up the hill so had good views of the sea and boats. Short walk of 5 - 10 mins down into town where we had a good, sensibly-priced meal at the recommended Cuan Mor Bar & Restaurant on the front.
Right on the main road into Oban so was fairly noisy from traffic (including during the night) if the windows were left open as we did. If it had been very hot, I'm not sure the 2 windows (which could only be opened a small 4 or 5 inches) would have been enough to keep the room cool.
It was clean and comfortable and staff were very helpfull and friendly.
Difficult to return to from town due to the location on steep hill as no footpath on that side of road.
The staff rememberd us from a previous visit
Convinient to the town, apart that, its a hotel, that, I would not recomend to anybody.
The Sea View from the Deluxe Room we had on the second night's stay- the views from the big bay window were magnificant (the room was also excellent, top class).
Double booked on first night so didn't have the Deluxe room on the 1st night - but we did received a generous refund. And the standard room was clean and adequate too.
A spacious room that had every facility you need for a very comfortable stay.
This hotel was positioned at the top of a hill and so had lovely views from our bedroom window. The room was well decorated and had a really nice new shower-room. I would recommend this hotel as good value for money.
Our room was excellent with a beautiful view. I think it's a place for overnight stays.
Room not cleaned properly. I had to ask for mugs to be washed and teabags and biscuits to be put in the room. They could not even get the breakfast order right.
